lissa-anglinComment

UPDATE: All 2015 Mini-Sessions have been booked! Thank you!

It's finally time for me to announce dates for my 2015 Mini-Sessions! These are special, once-a-year sessions I do that caters to families and kids! These are the only dates this year that I will be shooting these sessions. They are a ton of fun and I love getting to see everyone year after year!

Mini-Sessions do not include any prints or digital files, but prints and holiday cards are available for purchase and you can purchase the digital negatives of the entire gallery of images (around 50 images) for a discounted rate of 300.00 (regularly 500.00). You can check out my regular pricing HERE.

This year, Lubbock Sessions will be October 25 (Sunday) and November 7 (Saturday). Last year we used a more urban look, so this year will feature an outdoorsy/green setting. I'm hoping to get in some of those changing fall leaves! Here are the available times:

I loved photographing these sweet, sweet sisters. Little Chloe is Liv's age and so I quickly identified with where this family is in life. I could not get over her wonderful feathery hair and sweet stares (plus that adorable romper- how cute?!?) Miss Isabella is well-versed in her knowledge of Disney princesses and so we also had some quality conversation. :) Glad I got to spend some time with these two. Here are a few of my favorites from their session!

I love to listen to audiobooks while I edit images- somehow it allows me to really focus on my work without being overly-critical of myself (My name is Lissa, and I am Type A). I happened to start Surprised by Motherhood just as I began working on the images of this precious family…and something about the mixture of Lisa-Jo Baker's words and baby Will's gummy smile brought me to tears. Family-hood is such a gift, and I am so glad I got to capture these three. Thanks for your time and trust in me, Young family!

Baby drool. I don't know why it's so cute, but it is.

I may have captured my best baby drool photo ever during this session. I'll let you be the judge.

This sweet family was great to work with- and baby Roel was the happiest kid ever. I love my job. It's such a joy to get to capture stages of life like this one.

There is nothing quite like family. No where else do you have a mix of people, young and old, that have so many shared traits and common heritage- and can also be so different individually! I love getting to photograph those relationships. This particular family is special to me, as they are some of our great friends here in Lubbock.

We had a beautiful evening to shoot. Here are a few of my favorites from their session!

It was so good to catch up with Tommy and Teresa- Shawn and I met these two while at Wayland. Teresa actually taught the class where I first learned Photoshop (thank you!), and became my boss a little bit after that when I worked for the yearbook. Tommy has officiated weddings I've shot, and announced WBU basketball games all the years we were there as cheerleaders. It's been good to get to see them- and I found out that they'll be taking on a new adventure soon- working for Athletes in Action. I know they'll both shine in the roles they are taking on for this ministry, and I can't wait to see God's movement in their lives through this new journey.

We had a gorgeous day to shoot- and they brought along their four dogs. I'm not going to say I wasn't nervous about having that many canines running around- but these were the most well-behaved bunch! I had a great time with them. Thanks for an awesome shoot, guys!

Steven, Danielle, and Kora came down from Canyon, TX last weekend for a photoshoot- I was SO excited to see them! I love getting to photograph this sweet little family. We had a great time- I loved their clothing choices and of course their fantastic attitudes. Last time I saw Miss Kora she was just beginning to stand by herself- now she is very mobile! Here are some of my favorites:

I have been wanting to photograph this family for so long- little Mia and Troy are the most precious kids, and Tony and Amanda are so great and laid-back. Shawn and I go to church with the Chacons, and Amanda is also my bookkeeper/accountant! (She's taking new clients right now- contact me if you would like her info!) Here are my faves from their family session.
